The Primorsky Regional Philharmonic joins in supporting servicemen in the zone of a special military operation. It was decided to direct the proceeds from the sale of tickets for the concert program “Courage, Courage and Honor!” for the Defender of the Fatherland Day performed by the Pacific Symphony Orchestra to support our servicemen. The Philharmonic staff expresses sincere gratitude to our valiant army for honor and dignity, for loyalty to the ideas of our Motherland, our Russia! We thank their families, their relatives and friends who are always there to help, support and understand. By joining forces, we become stronger and closer!

The concert program is designed to emphasize the historical traditions, the connection between the soldiers of old Russia, the heroes of the Battle of Borodino, the participants of the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945 and modern defenders of the Fatherland. They are all heroes of their country. It is important to carefully preserve and transmit from generation to generation the memory of past and present exploits on the battlefields.

The concert will feature the Overture to Glinka's opera "Ruslan and Lyudmila", the solemn overture "1812", written by P.I. Tchaikovsky on the occasion of the consecration of the Cathedral of Christ the Savior. The idea to perpetuate the memory of the feat of the people in the war of 1812 arose among Russian writers led by G. Derzhavin and was widely supported in Russian society.

The libretto of K. Molchanov’s opera “A Dawns Are Quiet Here” by K. Molchanov is based on the story by B. Vasiliev, in which a real case from the history of the Great Patriotic War is described. The most famous number of the opera will be performed - Zhenka's Romance "Wait for Me" on the poems of K. Simonov. The poet, devoting the poem to his beloved woman, could not imagine how much attention these piercing lines would cause, and that in difficult wartime they would give support, hope, strengthening people’s faith in Victory. The program includes songs of previous years: "Katyusha", "Evening on the Raid", "Moscow Nights", "Blue Eternity", "Forever a Great Country".

Accompaniment of the orchestra will perform soloists of the Primorsky Philharmonic Varvara Komarovskaya, Elena Brykina, Dmitry Tolstoykh, Alexander Pstyga.
