The exhibition tells about the trip of the inspector general of artillery to Vladivostok in the summer of 1908. 135 years ago, Vladivostok gained the status of a sea fortress, it was to become an outpost of Russia, a stronghold protecting the security of the state on its eastern borders. Among the names included in the history of the Vladivostok fortress, the place of honor belongs to Grand Duke Sergei Mikhailovich Romanov. The life of Sergei Mikhailovich was filled with boiling, intense work. During the Russo-Japanese War, he was responsible for supervising the preparation of batteries sent to the Far East. On the eve of the First World War, he solved the difficult tasks of re-equipping artillery with rapid-fire guns. It was necessary to organize training of personnel in special methods of shooting and maneuvering tactics. Sergei Mikhailovich created his "Russian School" of artillery in the intervals between wars. On the basis of unique archival documents, the staff of the historical park “Russia – My History” created a regional multimedia exhibition that tells about the fates, people, engineering finds, curiosity – about everything that Vladivostok lived, surrounded by defensive structures.
