The basis of the personal 3 of Mikhail Dudin in the gallery “Arka” will be a new series of graphics, bas-reliefs, wooden objects, as well as sculptures created by the artist during his workshops in the Garage Museum last summer. The author is interested in the movement of the viewer in the space of his works: approaching and moving away, the body of the visitor 3 becomes an accomplice to the architectural ensemble of the artist’s installation. Breaking the usual linearity of time, Dudekin plays with chronology as a category that is a completely social construct. Remembering that some cultures lack a concept of the past (for example, Pirahan in the Amazon), one can say that the artist speculates about the principles on which the myth of his non-existent culture is built. Speaking about his works, the author compares them with dreams: “Sometimes I read books in my dreams, I can not understand them, but I do not aspire either.” Sleep blurs vision.
