Vladivostok residents and guests are invited to the exhibition of the famous seaside artist and designer Viktor Khmelik. The exhibition presents portraits of famous people.

Victor Khmelik invites visitors to the exhibition "Rules of Life" not only to look at the gallery of outstanding personalities, but also to feel how these people at a distance of decades and thousands of kilometers are able to talk to each of us about the most important thing - how to remain yourself in a changing, unpredictable world.

Heroes of the exhibition in a sense and embody this internal orientation. The criterion of choice was random: Khmelik simply mixed a hundred leaflets with the names of people who at different periods of his life somehow resonated with him, randomly choosing twenty-two. At the same time, a bronze statue of Buddha Daibutsu looks at us from one of the posters - this is the unifying clue: a symbol of inner enlightenment, an invisible thread running through all portraits.

The cultural code of the exhibition is universal and understandable for several generations of viewers - from Soviet film lovers to fans of anime and music. Perhaps each of the presented characters affects the viewer as a kind of tuning fork, and will set to think about their own “I”: what do we rely on when we have to go against the flow? With what “rules of life” are you able to overcome difficult times?

The exhibition “Rules of Life” is not about conformity and moralization. This is a meeting with a variety of manifestations of human freedom, where each author has his own path, his inspiration, his inner choice. – A new project by Viktor Khmelik is a beautiful attempt to look into the essence of a personal “revolution of meaning” and an invitation to make this attempt together
