4 residents of Primorsky Krai became tour guides of the World Festival of Youth

Representatives of the Far Eastern region joined the team of 300 best guides and coordinators of the country's hospitality zones - "conductors of meanings", selected by the Rosmolodezhka program "More than a journey" from 10 thousand applications. They became the face of the main youth event of 2024, which takes place on the federal territory of Sirius from March 1 to 7. On 12 thematic excursions, they acquaint 20 thousand participants of WFM-2024 from 188 countries with the values of the festival, achievements and opportunities of Russia in science, business and culture, the history of the World Youth City and the nature of its surroundings. Guides of the World Festival of Youth, organized by Rosmolodezh, are not only guides, but also teachers, entrepreneurs and scientists, employees of cultural and sports institutions, volunteers and representatives of other professional spheres. While studying at the “School of Guides” of the World Youth Festival, they were introduced to the philosophy of the youth movement and the standard of the “More than Travel” program: it is based on creating travel routes around the country for young people with a useful component. Participants of the World Youth Festival are representatives of different peoples and cultures who are united by the values of WFM-2024: the desire for new heights, friendliness and mutual respect. To penetrate the atmosphere of a large-scale event together with like-minded people, to recharge a positive attitude will help 300 “conductors of meanings” – guides from all over the country, who will talk about the achievements of the City of Youth of the world in science and business, about the history of the area and the Olympic heritage, will touch the unique Black Sea nature and discover the culinary traditions of Russian regions, said the head of the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs (Rosmolodezh) Ksenia Razuvaeva. The girl works in the city Palace of Children’s Creativity, but only recently discovered the professional sphere of travel, enrolling in the master’s program in tourism at Vladivostok State University. After participating in the All-Russian Youth Educational Summer Forum “Territory of Meanings”, I realized that I wanted to be involved in such grandiose events. I have already managed to work as a guide at the International Exhibition-Forum "Russia" and become part of the community "Conductors of Meanings", which develops the program "More than a journey": it unites people who care about active youth tourism in Russia. He represents the capital of Primorsky Krai at WFM-2024 and Artem Chubun, who heads the excursion department of the V.K. Arsenyev Museum-Reserve of the History of the Far East - the oldest museum of the Far Eastern part of the country. From work at the festival, he expects, first of all, the opportunity to develop the skills of a coordinator and get acquainted with other guides. “The knowledge and skills that I will receive at the World Youth Festival will be used to organize similar events in my native Primorsky Krai, whose administrative center – Vladivostok – has been declared the youth capital of Russia in 2024 together with Moscow,” Artem said.
