Architectural concept for a new seaside resort in the south of Primorye will be selected at an international competition

Registration for an open international competition of the best architectural ideas for a new resort, which will appear in the Hasan district in the south of Primorye.

Young architects and students of specialized universities can participate in it. Applications are accepted until May 13. As the organizers noted, the competition of resort architecture "RE:Creation" has no analogues in terms of creating a new tourist infrastructure on the Pacific coast of Russia. Dozens of facilities and spaces will be proposed for new ideas, including hotels, health, aqua and entertainment complexes, a gastronomic market, an ethnopark and other infrastructure facilities. Participants will also be able to share the author's version of the elements of rest and entertainment. Everyone will have the opportunity to offer their view on the image of the resort of the future, taking into account the unique nature of the Primorsky Territory, its potential in the Russian and international markets and the development of the latest technologies in architecture and construction. " This project is unique in its scale, young architects and students of specialized universities will be able to take part in it. Together, we need to create a concept of a resort that will demonstrate the uniqueness of our region and fully reveal its tourist potential, combining all the advantages: convenient logistics and various tourist routes, beautiful beaches with sea entertainment and magnificent Far Eastern cuisine. I am sure that Primorye has all the attributes to become one of the key tourist destinations of Russia, said the Governor of Primorsky Krai Oleg Kozhemyako.

Both a bureau company and a private person can participate in the competition. Applications are accepted from April 9 to May 13 at website, which also contains the competition regulation. After registration, participants receive a technical assignment and develop competitive proposals. Contestants must submit architectural solutions of at least three objects, one of each category: objects and entertainment, unusual elements of the resort environment, as well as, if desired, offer a general idea of the resort of the future. It is necessary to apply for the competition until May 25, 2024 inclusive.

The winners in each nomination will be determined at the final jury meeting in late June. The authors of the best ideas will receive a monetary reward depending on the nomination and the opportunity to participate in the further implementation of the project. The competition was launched by the Primorye Resorts company, which initiated the project, with the support of the Primorsky Krai Government. The selection of architectural concepts for the new year-round resort in Primorye is being implemented as part of the large-scale project “Five Seas and Lake Baikal”. Recall that at the end of March, the Governor of Primorye Oleg Kozhemyako presented to the President of Russia Vladimir Putin the project of a year-round sea resort in the Hasan district at a meeting on the creation of federal year-round projects. The cluster will be located in Aleut Bay, one of the most picturesque on the coast of the Sea of Japan. Nearby is a marine biosphere reserve with islands inhabited by rare animals and birds. There is also the southernmost island of Russia – Furugelma. Near it you can see seals and beluga whales, and on the island itself - migratory birds from around the world. Nearby is the National Park “Land of the Leopard”, where tourists can go the leopard trail. There are many lakes with beautiful flowering lotuses. One of the most famous of them is Lake Hasan, on the banks of which our heroic ancestors rebuffed the Japanese militarists in 1938.
