August in Vladivostok traditionally ends with Arsenyev week

The citywide festival "Arsenyev WEEK" (0+) is excursions, film screenings, educational programs and lectures, family master classes offered to children and adults by the staff of the V.K. Arsenyev Museum-Reserve of the History of the Far East from August 26 to September 1.

All branches of the Arsenyev Museum and several sites of the Vladivostok Fortress will become festival venues. By the way, about the fortress. The City Museum promises a fascinating lecture to history buffs of all ages from the museum's scientific secretary, Anzhelika Petruk. It is dedicated to a little-studied period in the life of V.K. Arsenyev - his military service in the Vladivostok Fortress from 1900 to 1905. Based on the memories of Vladimir Klavdievich's relatives and his fellow soldiers of that time, the author will help us to reconstruct the picture of his life during this difficult time and to identify the personal qualities that revealed him as a true humanist and researcher from the first years of service.

The lecture "Vladimir Arsenyev in Service in the Fortress" will be held on August 28 at 18:30 at 6 Petra Velikogo St.

In addition to the museum branches, the festival will cover many city venues: from art galleries and libraries of Vladivostok to the Botanical Garden, the Land of the Leopard National Park and the Primorsky Oceanarium.

One of the significant days of "Arsenyev WEEK" will be August 31. According to good tradition, the main events of the festival will unfold at the Main Building of the Arsenyev Museum (Vladivostok, Svetlanskaya St., 20).

A food court will be open for festival guests on the street from 12:00 to 20:00.

Visitors will also be able to purchase various souvenirs dedicated to our region at the art market "More" and books from the shops "Luteratura" and "Igra slov". On the main stage, creative groups from Vladivostok and Primorsky Krai will perform.

Visitors will also be able to take part in various master classes from our partners: Primorsky Oceanarium, Botanical Garden of the Far Eastern Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the Tretyakov Gallery branch in Vladivostok, the Dragon Well Tea House and Mosigra.
