For most residents of western Russia, Terra Incognita remains, however, there are a large number of people who want to go to the east of the country. Today, the region focuses on opportunities for MICE-tourism. In 2012, the APEC summit was the impetus for the development of this direction. But despite the fact that Vladivostok has been hosting the Eastern Economic Forum for 10 years, MICE-tourism, in which there is a combination of business program and recreation, is still a mystery for small groups of business tourism and corporates, Vitaly Stanislavchuk, Head of the Department of Programs and Analytics of the Tourist Information Center of the Primorsky Territory, shared his thoughts on the site.

Tourism of the Premorye Information Center of the Primorye Region. Among professional buyers, almost 70% are companies from Moscow, 20% are representatives of Northern Palmyra, 5% are foreign guests and interested people from other regions of Russia.

"The interest in Primorye was clear. For many, it was a real discovery that there are premium hotels in the region, hotels with high-quality service, the presence of yachts and boats, good logistics and high gastronomy, which is even higher than the Moscow level, since many of our restaurants and chefs are known in the capital, they have repeatedly been winners of various awards in the field of culinary art. Another advantage in favor of Primorye is its geographical location. Business events can be combined not only with rest in the region, but also with acquaintance with China and North Korea, added Vitaly Stanislavchuk.

Although MICE-tourism is a young destination for Primorye, it has great opportunities. A new milestone in its development will be a year-round sea resort in the Khasan municipal district, which is being implemented as part of the development of the project of federal year-round resorts “Five Seas and Lake Baikal”. Its strengths: year-round destination, convenient location, proximity to nature and tourist component.

Together with the Tourist Information Center of the Primorsky Territory (Visit Primorye), the potential of the region in the direction of premium and unique travel was also represented by regional operators: the Travel Team "Movement", the companies "Roads of Peace", "Laki Tours" and "Fregate Aero".
