More than 200 people became participants of the marathon of free excursions in Vladivostok

In the middle of August, residents and guests of Primorsky Krai celebrated a series of walking tours in the center of Vladivostok. The reason was significant – the Tourist Information Center of Primorsky Krai (Visit Primorye) celebrated its 10th anniversary. And as part of its birthday, the regional TIC presented residents and guests of the city with an acquaintance with the history of Vladivostok as a gift.

There were five excursions to choose from. The interest was great, no one doubted it. Just a day later, all groups were staffed. 

The organizer of the excursion marathon was the Tourist Information Center of the Primorsky Territory (Visit Primorye) with the support of . One of the tasks in the work of the TIC is the promotion and disclosure of the tourist potential of the Primorsky Territory, and the organization of excursions perfectly fits into this direction of the center. Guides on all routes were acting members of the section of local history and excursion studies of the Primorsky regional branch of the Russian Geographical Society - the Society for the Study of the Amur Territory.

The first two excursions “Japanese Pages of Vladivostok” and “Memories of Arsenyev – teacher, organizer of the first excursions” started at 11:00 from the central square of Vladivostok. About the Japanese culture and the footprint of the Japanese in the history of the development of Vladivostok tourists told Marina Timchuk. Her story reflects elements of architecture, culture, acquaintance with some couples of the time, and even the work of the media. The tour about Arsenyev became a real premiere. As part of the celebration of the anniversary of the TIC tour guide Elena Sokolova for the first time presented her new author's program.

After the noon shot at 12:00 on the route "Where the tiger roamed" went another group. The guests learned the history of the development of the military post, and later the city of Vladivostok. and found those places where still wandered a rare, red-book predator, one of the symbols of the Primorsky Territory - the Amur tiger.

"Anniversary of the Tourist Information Center of the Primorsky Territory we decided to celebrate with our guests and residents of Primorye, who daily turn to us for advice and help. A series of free tours is our gift for everyone. It was great to see such excitement and response from the audience. Many of them in the process turned to us for advice and learned more information about excursion programs and vacation destinations of our tour operators, said Anastasia Povetkina, Deputy Head of the Tourism and Information Department of the Tourist Information Center of the Primorsky Territory.

After lunch, participants were waiting for a tour of the mysterious places of the city "Legends and Secrets of Vladivostok". Tour guide Yulia Nikolaevskaya gave the opportunity to see familiar places from a completely different angle, revealed the secrets of familiar objects and display points on the route. It was not difficult to assume, but the most popular was a tour of Millionka. Mysteries and legends of the old city quarter still haunt. Yulia Lycheva revealed for the participants some secrets of one of the most mysterious places of Vladivostok, allowed the guests of the city to feel the atmosphere of Asia in a European city. This walking tour ended Friday's marathon of acquaintance with the city on the shore of the Golden Horn.
