Russian Island. If you are a member of the EEF and have just arrived in the city, you have a unique opportunity to see Vladivostok on the way - from the car window or during short stops.

What to see on the way from Knevichi Airport

The route from Knevichi Airport towards the center of Vladivostok runs through the picturesque and iconic places of the city.

  • The monument to the Yak-40 aircraft meets guests immediately behind the airport. This is a symbol of the aviation history of Primorye.
  • Low-water bridge - connects the De Friz peninsula and the Muravyov-Amur peninsula.
  • Rostral column is a stele at the exit to Vladivostok.
  • Nekrasov overpass is the main transport artery of the city.

On the way, it is useful to keep the camera ready in advance - many shots are obtained directly from the passenger seat.

The Central railway station is one of the oldest and most beautiful stations in Russia. Its building is an architectural monument of the early XX century.

  • The stele "9288 km" is a symbol of the end of the Trans-Siberian Railway.
  • The steam locomotive Ea-3306 is an open-air museum exhibit related to the history of the Far East.
  • The embankment of Tsarevicha is an excellent place for a walk along the seaside, with a unique sub-sight of the ship.

How to get around Vladivostok for forum participants

WEF participants are provided with shuttle buses. On the way to Russky Island you are also waiting for chic views: 

  • Panorama of the Golden Horn Bay - opens at the entrance to the bridge. The view is breathtaking even from the taxi window.
  • The Golden Bridge is one of the hallmarks of the city, connecting the center of Vladivostok with Cape Churkin.
  • The Russian Bridge is the longest cable-stayed bridge in Russia. It takes you to the Russian Island, to the venue of the forum.

In your free time, it is convenient to use city taxis or car sharing services. Vladivostok is a city with hilly terrain, so it is better to plan walking within the embankments or parks.
