Historical buildings of Vladivostok

The architecture of Vladivostok is a real time travel. One of the iconic objects is the railway station building, a symbol of the end of the Trans-Siberian Railway. It is notable not only for its appearance, but also for its historical significance for the whole country.

The Post Office Building is one of the oldest buildings in the city. The combination of Russian style and modern elements makes it visually expressive and photogenic. Nearby you can send a postcard from an old postal window.

In the city center you will find Big GUM, the former universal store of the trading house "Kunst and Albers". Its facade is a vivid example of German commercial architecture of the early XX century.

Natural sights of Vladivostok

The nature of Vladivostok is one of its main trump cards. Marine themes are felt everywhere: rocks, bays, cape landscapes. Be sure to visit Cape Tobizin – a picturesque location on the Russian island, popular with hiking tourists and photographers. The starting point can be reached by car or get off at the stop Fort No. 11 (bus route No. 29). The way back and forth will take 2-4 hours, the road passes through the forest and ends with a walk through the rocky terrain. The most difficult place of the way is a steep climb of about 4 meters, next to which a rope is installed, with which you can easily climb. We advise you to choose non-hot days and go in the morning, so as not to get under the scorching sun.  

You can enjoy the views of the city from the viewing platform on the hill of the Eagle's Nest, from where the panorama of the Golden Horn Bay and the Golden Bridge opens. For a quieter walk, embankments are suitable - Ship or Tsesarevich.
