A real New Year miracle awaits young visitors to the Main Building of the Museum-Reserve of the History of the Far East named after V.K. Arsenyev. Children will be able to meet with a mysterious guest from the past, the “first blogger” of Vladivostok Eleanor Prey, who once, having made a New Year’s wish, returned to her beloved city after 100 years. With the help of her amazing letters, we will make a real journey through time in search of a magical room – a time portal, without which the New Year may not come. And yet, traveling through the labyrinths of museum halls, we will rediscover our wonderful city, learn a lot about its residents and their traditions and finally prepare for the celebration at the elegant museum tree with gifts and a cheerful mood, the museum said. It begins in mid-December and will last until the end of the January holidays.
Thematic excursions around the museum halls, where the children will learn a lot of interesting things about the traditions of celebrating the New Year, game and educational programs, including at the site of the title exhibition on the Faberge era, numerous master classes, where the children will learn to make their own hands New Year's crafts, New Year's Tales with Milk - this New Year, young guests are ready to please and surprise all branches of the Arsenyev Museum. Festive events will be held at the facilities of the Vladivostok fortress. On the first day of the new year, we go to Fort No. 1 - one of the most preserved forts of the fortress, which can be visited only accompanied by a museum guide. The fort is located in the forest on Mount Kudryavtseva, near the village of Gornostay. We will walk in the forest, be sure to go down into the dungeon and draw in the imagination a picture of how we met on January 1 in the garrison of the Vladivostok fortress, said the head of the excursion and tourist bureau Christina Alexandrova. Its highest point overlooks the Amur Bay, and two large tunnel barracks are hidden in the heart of the fort. Participants of the program will walk through the mountain and learn where the underground tunnels of the fort lead. The game program, which will be held here from January 2 to 8, invites schoolchildren to overcome the New Year's Maze as Santa Claus' assistants. Residents and guests of Vladivostok are invited to spend the New Year holidays together with the Arsenyev Museum. Schedule of all events can be found on site
