Ecological trail to Kravtsov waterfalls became even more convenient

Almost 125 meters increased its "comfort" ecological trail to the Kravtsovsky waterfalls. The second stage of the work was completed, thanks to which the fourth and fifth waterfalls of the whole cascade became available - "Wild Maw" and "Step".

Now the total length of the trail is 485 meters, the total climb is 117 meters. Along the entire trail there are information plates and stands where guests can learn details about each of the waterfalls: description, height, seasonality, as well as explanations about growing flowers, trees, animals found near this place. For the convenience of tourists there are benches, bridges, observation decks, stairs.

The continuation of the ecological trail is an important stage in the development of tourism in the southern territory of the region and increasing the attractiveness of the Primorsky Territory. This object is considered the most popular in the national park, tourists visit it all year round, and any time of the year gives a lot of impressions and encounters with the beauty of nature.

The second stage is supported by VTB. The financial institution has the status of “Guardian of the leopard”, under the care of the bank is a family of wild Far Eastern leopards with a female under the number Leo 101F and her three kittens. For the head of the family, the Guardian chose the name Gerda, and for one of the children - Phoenix.

Welcoming the guests of the holiday, the director of the Federal State Budgetary Institution "Land of the Leopard" Viktor Bardyuk stressed that annually the protected territories of the "Land of the Leopard" are visited by more than 130 thousand guests from different countries of the world and corners of Russia. And work on nature conservation, accessibility of waterfalls for different categories of tourists is important. And there are new plans to make the trail accessible to people with limited mobility.

Environmental tourism is not only an opportunity to show the beauty of the reserve, but also a tool for preserving rare species. The tourist potential has not yet been exhausted, and in the future it is planned to expand and improve opportunities for exploring nature, while observing the requirements of protecting and preserving biodiversity.

Speaking at the opening of the second stage of the ecotrope, Minister of Tourism of the Primorsky Territory Natalia Naboichenko noted the abundance of trails previously trampled by people, which created a high anthropogenic load on the territory, which led to the degradation of the natural environment, the destruction of natural beauty of nature.

"The Land of the Leopard National Park is designed to preserve nature and ecology, study it, engage in environmental education not only for the younger generation, but also for adults. And the comfort of tourists is an important component of acquaintance with the southern Primorye. Khasan district is a unique, one of the most beautiful by nature corners of our region. This is a real magnet for local residents, for tourists coming to the region.  And new plans for further infrastructure development should be implemented, Natalia Naboichenko emphasized in her welcoming speech, wishing the Land of the Leopard prosperity, expansion and together with visitors to the national park preservation of natural beauty.
