Excursions, lectures, the project "Kitchen of Victory", new discoveries - how the Victory was forged in the Primorsky Territory

Primorsky Krai announced an extensive program of events in honor of the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War. Part of the events will be held with the support of the Tourist Information Center of the Primorsky Territory (Visit Primorye) and the branch of the Primorsky Territory of the RGS-OIAC.

On May 10, a number of free excursions on the military-patriotic topic will be organized. Guides-members of the Russian Geographical Society will tell about the life of the city of Vladivostok and Primorsky Krai in the war years.

The following excursions have already been announced:

• At 11:50, the excursion "Ships of the Pacific Fleet during the Great Patriotic War"
• At 14:00, there will be excursions "Vladivostok - the city of military glory" and "Under Fleet: 80th anniversary of the Great Victory" All excursions will begin from the building of the Society for the Study of the Amur Region: Vladivostok, Peter the Great St., 4.

In addition, local history lectures will be held throughout the year. For example, residents and guests of Vladivostok will be able to attend a series of lectures on the training and participation of the Pacific Air Force flight crew in the hostilities of the Great Patriotic War and the war with Japan.

Another significant project within the framework of patriotic events will be the project "Victory Kitchen", implemented jointly with the International Institute of Environment and Tourism of VVSU. The essence of the project "Kitchen of Victory" reflects a new trend in local history - the study of people's lives in a particular period of time, especially as difficult as the years of the Great Patriotic War. The project explores topics that reveal the facts of how the Primorsky Territory lived, ate and helped the front in wartime. Also within the framework of the project, unique military recipes will be collected, which later can become the basis for the annual patriotic gastro festival "Victory Kitchen".

This is especially important for young people.
