Leopard Day Festival to be held in Vladivostok on May 25

The festival dedicated to the Far Eastern leopard will be held in Vladivostok on May 25, 2024. 

Already the traditional holiday "Leopard Day" will open with a massive spotted flash mob charging on the embankment of Sports Harbour. The organizers of the festival are the Land of the Leopard FSBI, Tourism Agency of the Primorsky Territory, the Tourist Information Center of the Primorsky Territory (Visit Primorye) with the support of the production center "Live Brighter". In 2024, the Leopard Day festival will be held in Vladivostok for the fifth time. A bright element of the holiday will be the mass “Leopard charging” with a short run along the embankment, organized in conjunction with the RunDNSRun running club.

Guests of the holiday in leopard suits will gather together for warm-up and take part in a symbolic flash mob, marking the joining of efforts in preserving the rarest large cat on the planet. Each participant of the action will receive a souvenir, everyone is invited. There will also be prizes from the organizers for the best bright image. Leopard charging will take place on the eve of the traditional LEO.RUN trail race, which will be held on June 15, 2024 in the national park "Land of the leopard".

This day actively hosts a variety of the winners in the competition. On the stage of the festival, a concert will be held, where creative teams of the Primorsky Territory will perform. One of the brightest events of the holiday - the contest-defile of leopard costumes - will be held on the main stage. The fashion show of wild spotted cats will be arranged by guests of the holiday, everyone can take part in it. A quiz will be held during the concert program. Also in the festival program: the site "Photomonitoring", where everyone will be able to visually and excitingly get information about the work on the preservation of a rare animal; lectures about the leopard, games, master classes, aquagrim. The mailbox will be installed directly on the territory of the festival.

The main goal of the festival is to draw attention to the preservation of the Far Eastern leopard - one of the bright symbols of the Primorsky Territory. Over the 12 years of the existence of the “Land of the Leopard”, the wild population of the rarest large cat in the world has grown more than 3 times, from 35 to 129 adults. This is a rare and striking result of active environmental work, which deserves to be widely noted. The festival is also aimed at promoting tourism, one of the forms of which is ecological, including visits to nature reserves and national parks, ecotropes and routes, rest in harmony with the nature of the Primorsky Territory. The Directorate of Reserves "Land of the Leopard" invites entrepreneurs, artisans and organizations who want to support the holiday to cooperate.
