Festival "Strawberry Capital of Primorye" will be held in Primorsky Krai
Open city Festival "Strawberry Capital of Primorye" (0+) is held annually in the Spassk-Dalny district since 2016. By tradition, it takes place on the third Saturday of June at a time when experienced farmers and gardeners-amateur strawberries are already in sufficient quantity to participate in the fair and treat everyone with their harvest. It attracts both producers selling their agricultural products and potential consumers - residents of different parts of Primorye.
On the central square of the city, a trading platform is organized for the sale of agricultural products and, first of all, strawberry berries, garden strawberries. The excitement of buyers is always great, so everyone is satisfied: consumers who miss fresh vitamins, and sellers who have invested their labor and soul in the cultivation of different varieties of berry culture.
In addition to the shopping arcades, various local areas work on the square: thematic master classes, playgrounds, tasting strawberry dishes, fair-sale of decorative and applied art, art-visage, street painting, bright photo zones and others. Everyone can participate without age restrictions.
This year, the festival will be held as traditional competitions: “The best strawberries grew on my garden!” (for the most delicious and large berry), “Miss Victoria” (suit competition with a creative number), “Here are such pies!” (cooking competition), the contest of Art objects, “Barrow Car-2024” (for the best design of a child vehicle: a wheelchair, a bicycle, a scooter). All participants of the festival will receive diplomas for participation, the winners of the competitions will be awarded with gifts.
Traditionally, guests and participants of the festival are waiting for delicious strawberry treats. In the cultural program of the festival: costume parade - carnival marching along the central streets of the city to the epicenter of events, a festive concert of creative teams of the city and region, entertainment programs of cultural institutions at local venues.
