The festival of tomatoes "Mad berry" in Chernihivka is waiting for its guests and participants

Very soon, Señor Tomato will be the protagonist of the seaside tomato festival for the third time. (0+) will be held on September 14 in the village of Chernihivka, Primorsky Krai. He is still young, but his popularity is growing from year to year.

If a year ago, more than 200 people showed up for participation in the festival program (contests, processions, crop demonstrations, master classes), and almost 1,500 people visited the site itself, this year, according to the organizers, there will be much more people willing to participate. Participants and guests are expected from Ussuriysk, Arsenyev, Spassk-Dalnego, and of course from the settlements of the Chernihiv Ministry of Defense. The grand opening of the festival program is scheduled for 13:00. 

We this year added some new positions to the festival program. If earlier children from the age of four participated in the “Tomato Race”, now starts for crawler babies will be announced, this is the “Cherry Run”. In sports and entertainment events provided for the participation of families, still on the calendar Year of the Family. The unity of all generations will be shown in the Red Bogatyr relay, the organizers of the tomato festival noted.

On the festival site will work "Fair-sale", "Village street", "Masters street". For farmers specially organized exhibition of agricultural machinery. All those who wish to take part in a charity event will be able to replenish the "Bask of Good" - this is a kind of help to those who did not have a good harvest. The festival constant is a fashion show. Awarding the title of “Mr. Tomato” and “Miss Tomato” is not an easy task. The program also includes a gastronomic master class, a performance of creative teams of the Primorsky Territory, master classes for children and adults, a win-win lottery. The mood will add confetti show and fire show.

By the way, last year the ripest, fleshy and large tomato weighed almost 700 grams. Who's going to show off the harvest this year? The festival is conducted by the administration of the Chernigov Municipal District and the Tourist Information Center of the Primorye (Visit Primorye).
