A picture of the preservation of the Far Eastern leopard in Primorye for the first time appeared on the national state online platform. The site "Wild Nature of Russia" was launched on January 11, 2024 specifically for the Day of Reserves and National Parks on the portal of the President of Russia. It is designed to acquaint users with Russian specially protected natural areas, rare species of animals and plants, current environmental projects. The film about the national park "Land of the Leopard" opened a new section of the site dedicated to documentary films about the nature of the diverse corners of Russia. 10 Years tells the story of the Far Eastern leopard, whose eyes show the creation and work of the Land of the Leopard in the south of Primorye. The predator sees his native forest become safe again, and the number of his relatives grows. The picture was shot in 2022 for the tenth anniversary of the Land of the Leopard National Park and still retains informative content.

The history of the Far Eastern leopard is unthinkable without decisive state measures to preserve it. Therefore, it is deeply symbolic that from now on the film about it is publicly available on such a large state online resource, said Viktor Bardyuk, director of the Federal State Budgetary Institution "Land of the Leopard."

The film can view It was created by the staff of the Directorate “Land of the leopard”, the premiere was held in Vladivostok in the cinema “Cheremushki” (the network of cinemas “Illusion”). The film received a special prize at the ZILANT International Film Festival in Kazan as “the best film about the ecological environment”, and also participated in the international film festival “Pacific Meridians” in Vladivostok. National Park "Land of the Leopard" was established in 2012 in the south-west of Primorsky Krai. It preserves the world’s only wild population of the Far Eastern leopard, one of the world’s rarest animals. At the beginning of the XXI century, there were only 35 of them, today the population is already 125 adults.
