Giant cat will appear in front of guests of Leopard Day in Primorye

Creation of a huge portrait of the Far Eastern leopard in the performance format will be held on May 25, 2024 within the framework of the festival Leopard Day in Vladivostok. 

Guestims will see with their own eyes how the artist recreates the image of a red cat at the center of the seaside. Leopard Day is an annual large-scale festival dedicated to the rare Far Eastern leopard. In 2024, it will be held for the fifth time, organize a holiday of the FGBI "Land of the Leopard", The Tourism Agency of the Primorsky Territory and the Tourist Information Center of the Primorye (Visit Primorye) with the support of the production center "Live brighter"; will be a unique from the Far East. "Holstom" will be a square panel 2.4x2.4 meters, installed on one of the venues of the festival. Viewers will get acquainted with the process of recreating the appearance of a graceful cat with the help of a brush, acrylic and aerosol paints, will be able to ask the artist questions right during work. The performance will be conducted by an experienced seaside artist Yuri Shishkov. It is his hand that owns the famous panel with a spotted predator on the Sports Embankment of Vladivostok. This joint with the FSBI "Land of the Leopard" became the basis for further cooperation. 

"I have been drawing seaside animals at various facilities in Vladivostok for many years. Working with the image of the Far Eastern leopard allows you to capture this unique cat for thousands of viewers, make its beauty closer and clearer for everyone, shared Yuri Shishkov. The program of the festival includes many other equally interesting activities. The bright start of the holiday will be the “Leopard charging” with a short run along the embankment, organized jointly with the RunDNSRun running club. On the main stage there will be a concert program, which will be accompanied by a quiz. Another highlight is the Leopard Costume Competition. On the site "Photomonitoring" everyone will be able to learn about the work to preserve a rare animal. There will be lectures about the leopard, children are waiting for games, master classes and free leopard aquagrim. Thanks to the support of the festival of Russian Post, everyone will be able to send a postcard with the image of a leopard to anywhere in the country for free. The Directorate of Reserves "Land of the Leopard" invites entrepreneurs, artisans and organizations who want to support the holiday to cooperate.
