Intelligent game for future guides was held in Vladivostok

On Sunday, March 3, the final of the local history game “What, where, when?” was held in Vladivostok. Six teams of schoolchildren from 14 to 17 years old took part in the intellectual game with a geographical bias. The composition includes young local historians-guides, who are currently studying at the School of Young Guide, journalists from the Education Center 28, schools No 68, 76, 83, gymnasiums No 1 and 2. The initiator of the event and an excellent host of the program was Kirill Vitkin, a student of TSMU, a student of the Young Guide School. Tourist Information Center of Primorsky Krai (Visit Primorye) helped with the organization of souvenirs for the winners. For the first, second and third places, participants received notebooks, magazines and thematic calendars. Souvenirs for participation in the game received even those who could not enter the top three. The Regional Tourist Information Center (Visit Primorye) acted as an expert and co-organizer in the preparation of questions for the intellectual game. The educational event was held at the base in the club "Timurovets" (JV "Creativity" of Vladivostok). Assistance in organizing the event and information support was provided by media volunteers of the clubs “Timurovets” and “Territory of Knowledge”. The organizers of the game also received gratitude from the Tourist and Information Center of Primorsky Krai (Visit Primorye) for participation. Winners of the finals of the local history game “What, where, when?”: 1 place – the team “Zvezda”, consisting of Alina Turutina (SOS No. 28), Sofia Shkolnikova (SOS No. 83), Nadezhda Titarova (Gymnasium No. 1). 2nd place – teams “Hippopotamus”, consisting of Elizaveta Lipovskaya, Elena Torokhtiy (CO No. 28), Taisia Kalimullina (gymnasium No. 2). Good results were shown by the teams “2-d” and “Best of all”, who shared the 3rd place: Daria Romanyutenko, Daria Trotsenko (CO 28), Igor Grigoriev, Eva Prokopyeva, Elizaveta Kichapina (SOSH 76). “The questions were difficult even for those who have been engaged in local history for many years. It was necessary to prepare well and know the topic or logically calculate the correct answer. This is our first time at the Timurovets Club. It's cozy and very interesting. It turns out that such meetings are planned monthly. We will wait for the next game, the finalists of the local history game said. About the school of the young guide: a new stream of participants of the School of the young guide was announced in November 2023. The duration of training is three months. During this time, future guides learn the basics of excursion studies and study the history of their native land. Students of the social project will acquire new competencies in working with tourists and immerse themselves in the study of the tourist potential of the region. The school of a young guide is held in Primorsky Krai for the fourth time: the first stream were pupils of the Center for Assistance to Family Structure No. 1.
