Almost 1.5 thousand athletes, lovers of healthy lifestyle and outdoor activities went to the distance of the XI ice half marathon in Vladivostok. The international ice half marathon HONOR Vladivostok Ice Run has thoroughly settled in the event calendar of the Primorsky Territory. This year, running fans from five countries came to the distance: Russia, India, Japan, China and the Republic of Korea. Russian fans of active winter recreation came to Vladivostok from 35 subjects.
Russians and foreigners, children and adults, families and companies fled. For participants prepared several distances of different lengths. Children ran a kilometer distance, adults chose by experience and strength: 5, 10, 15 and 21.1 kilometers. The youngest participant of the race was barely 6 years old. The oldest athletes are 85- and 87-year-old residents of Vladivostok, a 76-year-old guest from China. This confirms that age is not a hindrance to sports - there would be a desire
> For the ice distance prepared thoroughly, but each in its own way. Someone profusely smears his face with cream and puts on sunglasses, and someone, on the contrary, runs light, in one shorts, substituting the winter wind and the sun bare body. A separate category of runners is fans of “dress up”: at the start, you could see the Arab sheikh and weightlifter, “Ivanushka” in a suit with Khokhloma patterns and a spotted salamander, smelt and “inflorescence” of rhododendrons. The latter symbolized the events of the Tourist Information Center of the Primorsky Territory (Visit Primorye) - festivals of smelt and rhododendron - and gave mood to athletes, fans, volunteers
A rich program was organized for participants and guests with photo zones, drawing prizes by starting numbers and the ability to engrave with a personal result on a medal. At the end of the degree, fans and athletes were added to teams of Vladivostok cafes and restaurants, which specially prepared ear and Far Eastern tea. 937 servings of husky and 1,457 servings of tea were prepared. It is worth noting that the tea was different in recipe. The “Omlet Station” tea was filled with the aroma of strawberries and currants, lemongrass vine added tone and energy, and honey “cared” about health. The team of the fast food chain at LAVA’Sheh focused on the approaching spring, preparing tea with rhododendron, adding lingonberry-raspberry syrup and honey.
The organizer of the ice half marathon was RunDnsRun running club, and the Tourist Information Center of Primorsky Krai (Visit Primorye) was responsible for the hot accents of this event.
