In the year dedicated to the Vladivostok fortress, the Museum-Reserve of the History of the Far East named after V.K. Arsenyev for the first time announces the recruitment of participants in the cultural and educational project “School of the Guide”. Become students of the course can people from 18 and older who are interested in learning the history of a unique fortification and direct this love in a professional direction. In the future, graduates of the school can be employed in the Arsenyev Museum on a competitive basis. As the organizers of the school told, together with new knowledge on the history of the Vladivostok fortress, the course provides skills in organizing and conducting excursions, working with archival documents, searching for objective information. The first gathering of participants is scheduled for April 27 at 18:30 at Peter the Great, 6. Recall that on March 30, Governor Oleg Kozhemyako declared the Year of the Vladivostok Fortress in Primorye. It is planned that in 2024, work will continue on the restoration of the fortress facilities, the improvement of the territories and roads leading to them, increasing their accessibility and comfort for visitors, and the allocation of a grant for the preservation of the historical environment. In addition, various cultural events, educational and publishing projects will be held, the main of which is the Vladivostok Fortress festival. Vladivostok Fortress is the world’s largest sea fortification facility. Its buildings are one of the most interesting and popular attractions of the Primorsky Territory.
