Arsenyev Museum invites citizens to the “School of the guide”

The Museum-Reserve of the History of the Far East named after V.K. Arsenyev announces the 10th set of participants in the cultural and educational project "School of the Guide". 

If your age is 18+, you already have a secondary professional or higher education, you are in love with the history of Primorye and Vladivostok and want to direct this love in a professional direction, the project gives you the opportunity to become a certified specialist in the excursion field. Together with new knowledge on the history of the region and its capital, the training course gives the skills of organizing and conducting excursions, working with archival documents, searching for objective information. During training, you can use books from the museum library, visit various museum events, including excursions.

" High professionalism of lecturers, friendly attitude, support of future colleagues at all stages of training, and the very atmosphere of the exhibition halls in which classes are held, help students of the School to feel themselves part of the museum community, comments Alexander Osipov, Deputy Director of the Arsenyev Museum. 

By the way, experts from the tourist and information center of the Primorsky Territory (Visit Primorye), Concrete Jungle, the National Park "Land of the Leopard", the State Library of the Pacific Ocean, the State Library of Vladivostok, the Medical Center. At the end of the course, an exam is provided, upon successful passing of which the participants of the School will receive a diploma in the program of additional professional education: Professional retraining "Excursor (Guide)." In the future, graduates can be employed in the Museum-Reserve of the History of the Far East named after V.K. Arsenyev on a competitive basis. Note that these are not empty promises. Many graduates of the "School of the Guide" really connect the future life with the museum business. Over the past nine years, 13 people have become tour guides of the Arsenyev Museum, and several work in museums in other regions. There are a lot of people who drive tours on a private basis.
