Arsenyev Museum reveals its plans for 2024 exhibitions

These days, the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation is discussing the exhibition policy of federal museums in 2024. According to the director of the Museum-Reserve of the History of the Far East named after V.K. Arsenyev Victor Shalay, the leading museum institution of the region plans to organize and hold about 50 different exhibitions. These are joint projects with other cultural institutions, and exhibitions from the funds of the Arsenyev Museum in other regions of Russia. The Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts will provide an opportunity to reveal the secret of the art of immortality of ancient Egypt. Many exhibits of the exhibition are the result of a great joint work of the State Museum of Fine Arts and Research Center "Kurchatov Institute" with the participation of the Institute of Ethnology and Anthropology of the Russian Academy of Sciences and other organizations. We will not reveal all the secrets to preserve the intrigue, but, of course, the proposed topic always attracts interest from the scientific community and the general public. Amazing discoveries about the mysterious land, the birthplace of ancient civilizations await us in May. The exhibition "Dreams of Siberia", organized jointly with the Foundation for the Development of Science and Culture "Tavolga" is a story about the past of terra incognita, about the history and culture of the peoples who lived in Siberia and the Far East in the period from the IV-III thousand BC to the Early Middle Ages. Vladivostok became the first Russian city to meet a famous Russian writer. September is a good tradition to meet with luxurious exhibits presented by the Museums of the Moscow Kremlin. For the sixth year, Moscow colleagues give the opportunity to residents and guests of Vladivostok to see masterpieces from the treasuries of the country’s leading museum, objects telling about the phenomenon of Russia as the largest state in the world, which it has remained for more than three centuries. " For several years, more than 700 objects were shown in the framework of the joint project - painting and graphics, weapons and awards, religious objects and jewelry. The exhibition of 2024 will be grandiose, and probably will be for us and, no doubt, for museum visitors, the event of the year: this time colleagues from the Museums of the Moscow Kremlin will bring a whole collection of Carl Faberge products, including the famous eggs that have long become one of the pinnacles of world jewelry art. According to the head of the exposition and exhibition department Svetlana Voronina, the museum exhibition policy proceeds from the principle of extending the life of any project. The museum tries to send exhibitions on a journey after they finish work on museum sites in Vladivostok.

Next year is no exception. For example, which had a huge success among the residents of Primorye, the exhibition “The Fate of the Commander” visited Kamchatka. Kamchatka expeditions of Vitus Bering in February will go to Khabarovsk, where it will be presented at the site of the Far Eastern Art Museum. And in December, residents of the Rostov region will be able to get acquainted with the identity of the legendary Commander Bering. Insert in the excursion and exhibition center of Rostov-on-Don will work until mid-February 2025, - she informs.
