New art object for tourists appeared on the “Land of the Leopard”

Portrait of the Far Eastern leopard by the famous artist Yuri Shishkov decorated the territory of the Central Estate of the Directorate of the Land of the Leopard Reserves in Primorye. The two-meter panel with a rare cat has become a point of attraction for tourists and a constant reminder of the importance of preserving a unique animal.

Artist Yuri Shishkov completed a project to create a portrait of a leopard, which was launched as part of a special performance at the festival "Leopard Day" in Vladivostok on May 25. During the festival, guests saw how the artist recreates the image of a red book cat. Now a large panel is installed at the hotel Central Estate in the village of Barabash, Hasan district. This is the first art object of its kind on this territory.

The new art object has already become one of the popular places for photography on the territory of the Central Estate. During the rest in a comfortable hotel and in between tours and excursions to the protected areas, guests are photographed against the background of an impressive portrait of a rare beast, one of the symbols of the Primorsky Territory. " The completion of this project was both a joyous and exciting event, said Yuri Shishkov. The work on the portrait was interesting, but also difficult. I faced a lot of challenges, including difficult weather conditions. Despite all the difficulties, I managed to implement my plan. I hope that the art object will become not only an ornament of the Land of the Leopard, but also draw attention to the problem of preserving this rare and beautiful animal. The portrait is made with brushes, covered with a special varnish, which makes the object resistant to various weather conditions, protects from rain and sun. The image is based on a photo of a real Far Eastern leopard from the wild by photographer Vadim Bobrovsky.

We note that earlier this year the artist Yuri Shishkov authored a large graffiti with a Far Eastern leopard on the embankment of Sports Harbour in the center of Vladivostok.
