A new section of the ecotrope “Kravtsovsky waterfalls” will open on the “Land of the leopard”

Construction of the second stage of the ecological trail "Kravtsovsky waterfalls" began in Primorsky Krai. The most popular tourist site of the National Park “Land of the Leopard” will receive a continuation that will help save nature from trampling and for the first time open access to the view of the fourth waterfall of the famous cascade. The expansion of the trail became possible thanks to the support of VTB Bank.

The active phase of work on the arrangement of the second stage is in full swing. The ecological trail will be expanded by 125 meters, the total length will be 485 meters. A new section of wooden decking starts from the path, landscaped in the first stage to the second waterfall, and ends only a few dozen meters before the last, fifth. Here, along the stream Kravtsovsky, equip stairs, bridges, observation decks, benches.

The information content of the ecotrope will also be expanded thanks to new stands and botanical tablets. Guests will be able to learn about the trees growing here, flowers found on the trail of wild animals. The new stage will begin with the viewing platform of the six-meter waterfall "Wild Paw", and also for the first time will open comfortable access to the point overlooking the five-meter "Step". The total climb is 117 meters.

The opening of a new section of the ecotrope is scheduled for the spring of 2025, said Viktor Bardyuk, Director of the Land of the Leopard. In the past, the transport accessibility and beauty of these places brought natural attractions popularity, but the territory was greatly damaged. Mass trampling of the soil led to the degradation of the natural environment, and landfills and fires almost destroyed the natural beauty of the surrounding area. The opening in 2022 of ecotropes with wooden decking allowed to minimize the load on the territory, to start the process of self-repair of nature, to maintain proper care of the area.

Currently, the trail “Kravtsovsky waterfalls” overlooks the first three waterfalls. There are also arbors with grills, a toilet, a spring operates. Along the trail there are information plates that introduce the plants growing around, as well as the history and features of each waterfall. The facility is located on the Razdolnoye-Hasan highway, near the village of Kravtsovka, Khasan district, there is a sign.

VTB has the title of Guardian of the Leopard, under the care of the bank is a family of wild Far Eastern leopards with a female number Leo 101F and her three kittens. Earlier, the Guardian chose a unique name for the head of the family - Gerda, as well as for one of the kittens - Phoenix. Since 2023, VTB has acquired a tractor for the needs of protected areas and five UAZ vehicles for protection from poachers and forest fires.
