Walks in the Botanical Garden of Vladivostok became more comfortable: the results of the improvement of the ecotrope

Strolling along Botanical Garden of Vladivostok became even more comfortable. A large-scale stage of improvement has been completed: now more than 10 kilometers of ecotrope with a flat surface, places for recreation have become available to residents and guests of the city. This is an ideal place for moms with small children or quiet walks of age-related vacationers at any time of the year.

Tourists of Vladivostok who want to see the natural beauty of the region, but are not ready to go outside the city and storm the mountains, have already appreciated the possibility of rest and acquaintance with the flora of the Primorsky Territory in the Botanical Garden. It is enough to walk along the updated ecotropes. 

Updated routes and ecotropes

Work on modernization has significantly transformed the Botanical Garden-Institute of the FEB RAS of Primorsky Krai. If 2 kilometers of tracks were paved in the spring, now the total length of walking routes for walking and acquaintance with the local flora of the botanical garden was almost 10.5 kilometers. 

The old broken asphalt has disappeared, and now the ecological trails have taken a refined form. Along the ecotrope, information signs were installed, fences appeared on the corners. Also, open-air lecture halls, transition bridges and view areas were equipped, which makes a walk through the botanical garden in Vladivostok not only pleasant, but also informative. In the near future, information stands, benches will be installed here, new areas for recreation will appear.
 

Why is the Botanical Garden so popular?

Perhaps there is not a single tourist who, when exploring Vladivostok, did not visit the Botanical Garden. On average, the Botanical Garden in Primorsky Krai is visited annually by almost 350 thousand people. This year, during the high season from May to October, the number of visitors increased by 23%. The maximum load peak was in May, June and October. This situation has remained unchanged for the past three years, confirming the status of one of the main attractions for guests and residents of Vladivostok. During the hot months, vacationers also prefer to get out to the sea or to nature.
