About thousands of tourists got acquainted with Vladivostok with the help of the guys from the Striped Navigator

The sixth season of the tourist and volunteer project "Striped Navigator" is in full swing: volunteers ply the routes, communicate with tourists and help them organize leisure and recreation in Vladivostok and beyond. This year, the first volunteers went on the routes in early July. Routes are determined according to the exit days and the load on the sights. For example, many exits were regulated taking into account weather conditions, in severe heat, the time of walks of volunteers from 3 hours was reduced by almost half to 1.5-2 hours. While working on the routes, volunteers voluntarily and involuntarily become participants in interesting stories and situations. Three generations of women from Khabarovsk have been traveling around the country independently for several years without a “male elbow” – this has become a peculiar tradition. This time the choice fell on Vladivostok. The oldest of the participants of this female trio was in Vladivostok in 1993 and willingly shared with the volunteers impressions of how the city has changed, what they have already seen, and this is the embankments, beaches, Tokarevsky lighthouse, and what in the near future plans. The main question is what's exciting about the wow effect outside the city.

A family couple from Kazan to Vladivostok turned out to be in the literal sense of the word by the method of "pumpkin": simply, clenched, pointed a finger at the map, and fate prompted the course to Primorye. And this is their first trip not only to the shores of the Pacific Ocean, but also to the Far East region. And it just so happened that they fell into a period of abnormal heat in the region.

Guests from Yekaterinburg arrived in Primorye for at least a month. Even without tickets for the return trip. This couple has been trying to spend a vacation on the sea coast for several years, changing only regions. In the "baggage" - Sochi, Kaliningrad, Novorossiysk, now this list is replenished and Vladivostok. Since the Ural guests in the afternoon were still engaged in working moments, the main question concerned entertainment in the morning, that is, interesting and not far away. Stably popular requests from guests from other regions and countries are also one-day excursions, sea walks, the most popular museums to visit, beaches for swimming, a choice of souvenirs and unusual places to visit. In the first month of work, the volunteers provided 984 consultations for tourists, 9 volunteers worked on the routes.

The first month of work showed the value and significance of the work of our volunteers. Despite the hot days and high humidity (note: not the tropics), tourists in the city enough. And everyone wants to get a lot of impressions from acquaintance with Vladivostok and the region. The most busy and busy months of work ahead, including the time of the Eastern Economic Forum. An important area of our project is not only the work on the routes themselves, but also the analysis of tourist requests, as well as their comments, comments and geography of the cities from where they come to our region.
