Nearly 200 people walked along the tiger route in Vladivostok

The cooperation of the Tourist Information Center of Primorsky Krai (Visit Primorye) and the project “More than a journey” continues. Since last year, as part of the educational component, tourists who are winners and prize-winners of competitions not only took part in the author's route of the Tourist Information Center of the Primorsky Territory (Visit Primorye) - the tiger route - but also participated in the analysis and discussion of current requests and current work tasks to promote the tourism potential of the region.

Within the Year of the Family under the program of the project "More than a Journey" four mixed groups of family tourists came to the Primorsky Territory at once. These are the finalists and prize-winners of the contest “This is our family”. All finalists for passing to the finals received an encouragement – a trip to Russia, whose geography goes from Kamchatka to Kaliningrad. The organizer of the trips was the program of Rosmolodezh “More than a journey”. About 300 families will go on a trip to our country

Among the best destinations of recreation were three regions of the Far East: the Kamchatka Territory, the Sakhalin Region and the Primorsky Territory. Also, the finalists went to Sochi, Kaliningrad, Murmansk regions, St. Petersburg and the Republic of Karelia, the Republic of Tatarstan and the Irkutsk region to Lake Baikal.

With the groups of the project "More than a journey" invariably work current guides and members of the section of local studies and excursion studies of the Primorsky regional branch of the Russian Geographical Society - the Society for the Study of the Amur Territory. During the two months in November and December, 191 people took part in the show.

Our task at the initial stage was to immerse participants in the “tiger” history and current work on preserving one of the main symbols of our region – the Amur tiger. But then we started collaborating on a regular basis with the project “More than travel”, and the quest became an opportunity to diversify the rest of the participants. On the routes, we try to attract graduates of our other project - "School of the Young Guide", who also prepare their author's materials for tourists. This year, we have completed the season of walks, and next season we are preparing updates of the “tiger” route for guests and residents of our region,” said the deputy head of the tourist and information department of the Tourist and Information Center of the Primorsky Krai (Visit Primorye) Anastasia Povetkina.

Ab>Tigin quest: is the author’s route of the Tourist and information center of the new Primtref=company. Ministry of Tourism Primorsky Krai since 2016. On the route, participants look closely related to the history of the city art objects dedicated to the tiger, learn about the work on preserving the population of the Red Book predator and in parallel answer interesting questions about the Amur tiger. The project is a finalist of the “Route of the Year-2024” competition, a finalist of the national stage of the “Turbrand of the Year” competition of the V International competition of tourist brands “GOLD BRAND” – 2024. Since September 2023, when the quest was first held in an updated format, and until now more than 900 people have taken part in the tiger quest. Recall that 2024 was declared the Year of the Family by Russian President Vladimir Putin in order to popularize the state policy in the field of family protection, preservation of traditional family values.
