Almost 2.5 billion rubles transferred the tourism industry of Primorye to the regional budget

At the end of 2023, the tourism industry of the region transferred 2.49 billion rubles to the consolidated budget of the region.

Now we can confidently say that Primorye is a popular holiday destination among residents of the region and attracts tourists from all over Russia. The number of tourist trips has reached 3.5 million, in the current 2024 Primorsky Krai expects an even greater volume of trips and visits of guests. “The volume of taxes for the year from enterprises of the tourism industry from 1.75 billion in 2022 increased by 160%.

This tangible growth underlines that tourism is becoming an increasingly prominent industry in the region’s economy. This industry is one of the focus areas for the development of the Primorsky Territory. More and more companies are interested in improving the quality of services, legitimacy of activities and participation in regional and state programs aimed at increasing the attractiveness of the region, said Kristina Quint, Deputy Head of the Primorye Tourism Agency. Last year, the average time of stay of tourists in Primorye is from 3 to 7 days. Tourism business is confident that due to the increase in the number of rooms, the appearance of new facilities, the expansion of the calendar of events and the boundaries of seasonality, the duration of rest in Primorye will increase to 9 days.
