All this can be reflected in the project “Routes to places of memory and glory”, which is implemented by the National Center for Historical Memory under the President of the Russian Federation.

The region played a strategic role in the war, especially in the context of the Japanese threat and subsequent Soviet involvement in the war in the Far East.
