Work in tourism and cultural and historical potential of Vladivostok were presented at the Youth Week

In Vladivostok, within the framework of the Youth Week events, events were held aimed at getting acquainted with the tourism industry, hospitality and Vladivostok through the presentation of professions, achievements of the Far Eastern capital and the implementation of promising projects in tourism.

The quiz about the cultural and historical potential of the Primorsky Territory "What do I know about Vladivostok?" was created by VVSU in partnership with the Tourist Information Center of the Primorye. It allowed guests and residents of the Far Eastern capital not only to immerse themselves in the history of our city, but also to test their level of knowledge about its development and formation, to compare the tourist opportunities of the then Vladivostok and the current one. To go all the way and feel like a connoisseur of Vladivostok, the quiz participants had to answer questions about people, important events, architecture and famous places that are directly related to the history of the eastern outpost of Russia, strengthening its position not only in the east of the country, but also in the international arena. We are always pleased to work with active and inquisitive young people and present opportunities and prospects for them to work in our organization and in the tourism industry. We consider it important not only to inform future students about the possibilities of obtaining secondary special education in tourism and the service sector, but also to give them the most reliable information, to create conditions for acquaintance with the industry and the region. The tourism industry is now actively modernizing and developing, and I want it to employ highly qualified and trained specialists who will be able to prepare within the framework of the tourism and services cluster of the Primorsky Krai, - Anastasia Povetkina, deputy head of the tourist and information department of the Primorsky Krai Tourist Information Center (Visit Primorye).

We note that within the framework of the project "Professionality" students will be able not only to practice tourism in the future profession, but also to use the information in the field of the company in the future.

It is in our interests to train children in industry specialties not only from Primorye, but also from other regions of the Far East, it will be unfortunate to solve the personnel issue of the industry in the Far Eastern Federal District. The profession of “Tourism and Hospitality Industry Specialist” is now really popular and relevant. Primorsky Krai shows high results in the promotion and popularization of the tourism industry, and it is young specialists who will be able to help develop this direction in the near future, taking into account the demand of the target audience, modern trends and technologies, said Galina Petrova, associate professor of the Department of Tourism and Hotel and Restaurant Business.

We add that in Vladivostok on the embankment of the Tsarevich at the site of the VVSU Cyber House, interactive master classes were held from partners and representatives of the cluster "Professssionite" which guests could become participants. Visitors to the Cyber House were invited to try themselves in various virtual games and stimulators. So they could get acquainted and test the possibilities of their future fields of activity.
