There were three lectures for the participants of the profile shift of the Russian Geographical Society "World of Discoveries", which is 150 people from different regions and countries, held by employees of the tourist and information department of the Tourist Information Center of Primorsky Krai (Visit Primorye). Profile shift takes place on the basis of VDC "Ocean". Invited guests and experts of the tourism industry told and presented to the participants of the profile shift recreation opportunities, bright brands and historical and cultural potential of the Primorsky Territory

The topic of the first lecture was "dictated" by the Amur tiger. Lead consultant of the tourist information department of the Tourist information center of the Primorsky Territory (Visit Primorye) Victoria Dmitrieva tried to generalize the knowledge of children about the owner of the Ussuri taiga and its habitat. For this purpose, the format of the lecture-game was used, where the children were told about the life and habits of the striped predator. In a playful manner, the children were informed about the importance of nature conservation and the conditions of survival of wild animals in the conditions of modern civilization. No less active to participate and interesting to obtain information passed the thematic quest. In conclusion, the guys received an independent task - to find tigers on the territory of the camp and make an interactive on them

"We participated in an interesting lecture dedicated to the indigenous inhabitant of the taiga - the Amur tiger. Learned a lot about these dangerous fluffs. Did you know that tigers have stripes under their hair? I heard a lot of funny stories about tigers and other members of the cat family. For example, about the amazing friendship of the tiger Amur and the goat Timur, which struck the whole world. This lecture prompted us to learn more about the conservation of the Amur tigers, these predators that are unfortunately on the verge of extinction. The event was a reminder that people should protect Red Book animals and take care of big wild cats, shared her thoughts on the lecture hall participant of the profile shift Arina Strong>

The next speaker was Anastasia Povetkina, Deputy Head of the Tourism and Information Department of the Tourist Information Center of the Primorsky Territory (Visit Primorye). Participants were able to immerse themselves in the culture and activities of indigenous peoples (MNs). The importance and value of preserving the heritage of these special groups became an important aspect of the dialogue. Young geographers were told about ethnic groups living in Primorye, as well as about the peculiarities of their life, traditions and beliefs. The disappearance of their cultural identity is one of the major problems of the MNE. Note that the festivals taking place in Primorye contribute to the preservation of culture and traditions

The lecture on indigenous backgammon was exciting. In total there are 47 of them in Russia, and the number of 11 of them is less than 500 people. This is sad and makes you think that for some time, these people and their culture will disappear into oblivion. In Primorye today live Udeges, Nanais and Tazy. About each nation we learned interesting facts: the Taz hold the festival "Sagdi Dava" ("Big fish"), the Nanai used to be called Gold, the Udeges have a belief that they descended from a tiger and a bear. Such lectures energize, I want to touch the history and learn new things, — shared the impressions of another participant of the shift Rosalia Khabibullin

The third lecture from the Tourist Information Center of the Primorsky Territory (Visit Primorye) gave the children an acquaintance with entrepreneurs who developed the East of Russia in the late XIX - early XX centuries. Consultant of the Tourism and Information Department Yulia Slepkova during the thematic session "First Entrepreneurs of Vladivostok" told the children about the first financial successes, the experience of the then businessmen of Vladivostok and the value of implementing their own ideas. The students learned about the life and formation of the business of the first merchants and industrialists of the region, about the history and importance of apartment buildings, key enterprises that laid the foundation for the city's economy, as well as how businessmen of the past expanded trade and developed new markets. Participants in the exciting competition answered questions about the formation of entrepreneurship in Vladivostok in the XIX – early XX century. The game took place in a vigorous rhythm: the teams not only tested their knowledge, but also showed tactical ingenuity, choosing more difficult questions to maximize points.

We have been involved in this project for the second year in a row. Dialogue with children is always a mutually interesting and informative experience. On the one hand, we share our activities, show and reveal the tourist potential through the brands of our region. On the other hand, the guys through feedback help us to refine and expand the possibilities of our projects. This year, we took three different directions and presented three aspects of our activities at once: from the “tiger” potential to the work on the preservation of the cultural heritage of KMN. An important task of such speeches is not only to increase the level of local lore knowledge among the participants of profile shifts, but also to immerse schoolchildren in the industry in the tourism industry, said Anastasia Povetkina, Deputy Head of the Tourist and Information Center of the Primorsky Territory (Visit Primorye), about working with the participants of the profile shifts of the Russian Geographical Society

For reference: the project "Profile Changes of the Russian Geographical Society "World of Discoveries" has been implemented since 2015 in the All-Russian and international children's centers "Eagle", "Ocean", "Artek" and "Smena" within the framework of cooperation between the Russian Geographical Society and the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation. For all the time, more than 7,000 people from different regions of Russia took part in the project. The objectives of the project are: in-depth study of geography, work with practical skills in the field, education of the importance of memory and exploits of the heroes of the Great Patriotic War, expansion of competencies and skills of schoolchildren. Thus, participants study not only geography as a basic science, but also related subjects and competencies.
