“The most cat” festival will be held in the autumn in Primorye

Directorate of Reserves "Land of the Leopard" invites to the ecological festival "Golden Cotton", which will be held on October 5, 2024 in the village of Barabash. The holiday is dedicated to the World Day for Animal Welfare and is dedicated to rare cats, including the Far Eastern leopard. Guests are waiting for an exhibition of paintings in the open air, a concert and much more. 

The Directorate of Reserves "Land of the Leopard" is the "most feline" specially protected natural territory of Russia. Here live the Amur tiger, lynx, Far Eastern forest cat and the rarest big cat on the planet – the Far Eastern leopard. In honor of the unique predators "Land of the Leopard" organizes the festival "Golden Kottle" in the most colorful time of the year - golden autumn, in early October. In addition, the "Golden Cot" is timed to the World Day for the Protection of Animals, which is celebrated on October 4. 

The organizers of the festival urge guests to wear costumes and accessories of rare cats "Land of the Leopard" - the Far Eastern leopard and the Amur tiger. Anyone who fulfills this condition will receive a pleasant prize. In addition, according to the results of the holiday, the brightest costumes will be selected, whose authors will receive special prizes. 

It is important to note that the Golden Cotton will immerse guests in the atmosphere of the protected forest of southern Primorye. Everyone will have the opportunity to see and see near the Red Book big cats thanks to a special performance – an open-air exhibition of paintings from the International Union of Animal Artists. From colorful canvases on the audience will look tigers, leopards and other bright “models”. Another highlight of the festival will be a master class from the President of the International Union of Animal Artists, professional artist Sergey Ilyinsky. He will show and tell how a colorful fluffy masterpiece is created in a short period of time. Other activities include a fair, a concert program, master classes and an aquagrim venue. District and regional creative groups with musical numbers will perform on the festival stage. The educational and entertaining part of the festival is inextricably linked with the study and preservation of the nature of southern Primorye.

The entrance to the holiday is free. Land of the Leopard invites creative teams and individual enthusiasts to take part in the fair and concert program of the festival.
