Directorate of reserves "Land of the leopard" has suspended the visit of tourists eco-route "Semiverse" national park "Land of the leopard" in Primorsky Krai.
Restrictions are due to the introduction of a special fire regime in the south of the region. Extinguishing the fire that formed on March 4 continues. Such a regime provides for a ban on the stay of citizens in forests, open fire and incineration of garbage in the territories of municipalities, conducting fire-hazardous works in forests. For violation of fire requirements, administrative and criminal penalties are provided. A special fire protection regime was introduced due to warm and dry weather. The complete absence of snow cover led to mass fires of dry vegetation. From 1 to 4 March in the south of Primorye registered four wildfires. Pal, formed in the area of the village of Andreevka on March 4, partially affected the territory of the "Gamovsky" section of the national park "Land of the Leopard": because of the squally wind, the fire spread to the protected area through the road. Forest areas are not affected. Pal on agricultural lands is quickly localized to prevent further spread of flames, there is no threat to wild animals.
The threat of forest fires hangs over the habitats of the Red Book Amur tigers and Far Eastern leopards annually, unprotected lands are severely affected by fire, burn out thousands of hectares. At the same time, the “Land of the Leopard” remains a “green island of safety” for wild animals, thanks to the system fire protection, the area of fires here is minimal. The route is very popular, and the annual LeoRun half marathon is held here. The temporary closure of the route not only minimizes the likelihood of fires, but also protects tourists. At the same time, a visit to two specially equipped ecotropes is open: “Kravtsov Waterfalls” and “Leopard Path”. Earlier, the forces of the employees of the Land of the Leopard were brought to full combat readiness with the beginning of the fire hazard period. The situation will be controlled by state inspectors, as well as fire brigades from seasonal workers. Hundreds of kilometers of mineralized strips become an insurmountable obstacle to the spread of fire. The Directorate of Reserves "Land of the Leopard" asks to exercise special care when handling fire in their areas and in the forest, to remain vigilant. One spark or even a glass object is enough to break out an unstoppable fire.
In case of a fire in the territory of protected areas, you must contact the operational officer of the national park by phone: 8(42331) 54-121. Thus, everyone can contribute to the preservation of the unique nature of southern Primorye.
