To develop and popularize the “youth” image of Vladivostok and a fresh look at the routes in the city center within the framework of the tourist and volunteer project “Striped Navigator”, the Tourist Information Center of the Primorsky Territory (Visit Primorye) is building work with educational institutions. During the implementation of the volunteer project, which will celebrate its fifth anniversary in the season-2024, there was an idea to expand the routes for volunteers of the project. In terms of the current status of “Youth Capital of Russia 2024”, work continues to strengthen the image and brand of Vladivostok as a point of attraction for young people. The answers and developments of schoolchildren will be used to creatively unlock the tourist potential of the Far Eastern capital.

The initiator and ideological inspirer was MBEU SOSH No. 2 together with the Tourist Information Center of Primorye. A graduate of the project Striped Navigator, English teacher Alyona Nikulina offered to seek help from schoolchildren of the 9th grade. The children were invited to work out and supplement the current routes of the Striped Navigator project participants. A fresh look and a non-standard vision of routes, work in the format of brainstorming have become a qualitative opportunity to “see” the tourist potential of Vladivostok through the eyes of children and teenagers. In the future, all the developments will be used for the work and analysis of the movement of “striped navigators”. “Engaging tourism professionals helps broaden students’ horizons. We plan to continue working with the senior classes in this direction, as this is an opportunity to connect children in current projects of the tourism industry. We hope that in the future our students will be able to practice communicating with tourists along the routes of the tourist-volunteer project "Striped Navigator", - said Alena Nikulina.

Working with the younger generation is an important aspect in our activities, and we strive to support the creative ideas of the children. A new youth view of the routes of our project "Striped Navigator" will allow to update the locations of plying volunteers and scale the work, - said Anastasia Povetkina, Deputy Head of the Tourism and Information Department of the Tourist Information Center of the Primorsky Territory (Visit Primorye). The route runs through the central, popular with tourists, places of the city of Vladivostok. The task of volunteers is to competently and comprehensively tell and help tourists spend time in Vladivostok. In the fifth anniversary season, it is planned to attract more than 20 volunteers, among whom there are trainees of VVSU, and representatives of the movement "silver" volunteers. The first stream has already passed training, the second stream will begin classes tentatively at the end of May.
