Modern navigation services have added comfort to rest on the island of Popova

> On the island of Popov expanded high-speed Internet. As a result, due to the installation of modern equipment, the coverage area and speed of mobile Internet in the island territory of Vladivostok increased by 30%.

The updated network covers a residential settlement, the Museum of the Far Eastern Marine Reserve, recreation centers and the territory of a weather station that provides data for sea vessels and divers. After the work, residents and guests of the island can more comfortably use the mobile Internet and modern digital services: quickly download updates, use video services, banking and music applications.

In the autumn of 2024, we launched a new base station on the island of Popova. And by the summer season, additional telecom equipment was installed to expand the territory of LTE coverage and ensure high mobile Internet speeds during the peak load season. In general, MTS pays considerable attention to the development of telecom infrastructure in the island territories of Primorsky Krai. So, earlier we provided LTE communication to protected island territories - Furugelma Island in the Khasan District and Petrov Island in the Lazovsky District, and also built a fiber-optic communication line to Russky Island, said Yevgenia Sysoyeva, Director of MTS in the Primorsky Territory.
