Today, against the background of the intensification of relations between China and Russia, interregional cooperation has received new opportunities for development. And this is not only tourist trips, it is also the organization of exhibitions, language camps, participation in manufacturers' fairs, motor races, sports battles.
On March 22 and 23, a youth basketball tournament was held in Vladivostok, which became a vivid example of international cooperation and friendship between the two countries. On the court, the fight for the ball was led by teams of young men aged 14 and 17 from Vladivostok and Jiamusa, in Heilongjiang province. Within two days, the teams demonstrated a high level of training, sports discipline and team spirit.
The Far Eastern capital was adequately represented by the teams "Start" and "Vikings", coaches Eduard Sushko and Stepan Getmanov, respectively.
The importance of such meetings in strengthening international cooperation, sports skills, building friendly relations, acquaintance with the culture and history of other countries and cities, was noted by the head of the Department of Sports and Physical Culture of Vladivostok Yuliya Veliya Veliya. The words of farewell and support to the teenagers of the two cities were voiced by the former Vice-Mayor and Head of the Department of International Relations and Tourism of the Vladivostok Administration Vladimir Saprykin.
"Such meetings and similar tournaments are not only sports battles, but also an opportunity for young people to exchange experiences, develop friendly ties. For many of the guys from the Chinese team, this is the first trip abroad, and it is very nice that Vladivostok started traveling around the world. Such trains are always remembered. Young athletes got acquainted with our city, learn about the culture and history of Vladivostok. We are proud that we can host international competitions in our city, said the tournament organizer and chairman of the tourism development committee of the Primorsky branch of OPORA RUSSIA Dmitry Pavlov.
In addition to sports, city tours were organized within the framework of the tournament: the guys visited the Trepang Museum and the S-56 submarine museum, took a ride on the funicular, saw the sea and other sights of Vladivostok, tried Russian borscht and dumplings.
The initiator and organizer of the tournament was the tour company LLC "Katyusha", which regularly organizes international sports, cultural, business events in the Primorsky Territory, Russia and China.
