VVSU students discovered the tourist potential of Primorye in an interactive game

My professional holiday - World Tourism Day - students of the first year of the VVSU specialty "Tour Operator and Travel Agency Services" tried themselves and tested their knowledge in the history and geography of the Primorsky Territory. Interactive game "About Primorye" with the possibility of virtual travel in the region was held on the World Tourism Day at the site of Vladivostok State University

The guys had to collect a map of the Primorsky Territory, where each puzzle is one or another municipal formation. But just so the puzzle in the hands was not given. To become its owner, the team members had to answer local lore questions about Primorye for a limited amount of time. The questions of the quiz concerned the history of the region, its natural attractions, unique display sites and rich cultural heritage.

There were two teams, each had to “go” through the historical and local history path of 15 thematic issues. It was necessary not only to give the correct answer, but also to do it quickly, ahead of the opponents. The second stage of the game was the assembly of the puzzle, where you needed speed and knowledge of the geography of Primorye. As a result, each of the teams was able to correctly assemble and present the puzzle map of the Primorsky Territory.

"Interaction with students of specialized tourist destinations is always an interesting experience, so we decided to hold the game "About Primorye" on our professional holiday - Tourism Day. For such a young curious audience, we try to select unusual formats for events. This makes it possible to present to future specialists the historical and cultural heritage of our region and its multifaceted tourism potential. The game also helps participants to better learn the geography and local history of the Primorsky Territory, develops interest in tourism in general and strengthens the team spirit of joint work, said Anastasia Povetkina, Deputy Head of the Tourism and Information Department of the Tourist Information Center of the Primorsky Territory (Visit Primorye). It just feels like you know the land you live in. In fact, assembling the puzzle was challenging, but it was an important growth point for me. Thanks to the game, I learned many interesting facts about the Primorsky Territory and got acquainted with its sights in more detail. This knowledge will help me in the future to conduct exciting excursions for our tourists. And I will also gladly share information with my friends and relatives, added Polina Bashinskaya, a student of the University.
