The trail of the wild beast and the longest beach in the country: new opportunities for tourists in the national park “Land of the leopard”

New routes and recreation opportunities in the Land of the Leopard National Park were presented at the 10th Pacific Tourism Forum (TPF) (6+). New opportunities to explore the protected areas of Primorye and organize thematic tours will not only increase the attractiveness of the region, but will also contribute to an increase in tourist flow.

Among the proposals of the Land of the Leopard National Park are new routes, new concepts for already familiar destinations, and the development of ecotourism infrastructure.

One of the most popular destinations among tourists is the Kravtsovskie Waterfalls. They are visited in any season, and each time of year gives a lot of impressions.

In 2024, more than 130 thousand people visited the territories of the Directorate of the Leopard Land Nature Reserves in Primorsky Krai. The most popular ecotourism destinations were the Kravtsovskie Waterfalls ecotrail. Its arrangement not only saved the famous natural site from trampling and destruction, but also made the visit comfortable. And this year, the boardwalk was extended: two observation platforms were equipped, two bridge crossings were installed. Now tourists will be able to comfortably and safely reach the Stepped Waterfall. Acceptance is currently underway, and in a couple of weeks, tourists will be able to test the trail that leads to the fourth waterfall in this cascade.

It will be more comfortable to visit the excursion "Botanical Garden - Likander". Equipped infrastructure, namely a gazebo, a viewing platform and a place for rest, will allow you to enjoy the beauty of nature without haste. The concept of visiting Cape Ostrovok Falshivy has changed. If earlier everything was limited to an ordinary excursion, now the emphasis will be placed not only on obtaining information, but also on a beach holiday. The opportunity to relax on the longest 17-kilometer beach in Russia on the coast of the Sea of ​​Japan will find its fans. So the name "Spit of Change of Consciousness" is fully justified.

New routes are planned for the upcoming high season: "Protected Portraits" in Kedrovaya Pad, "Bogataya Fanza" on the territory of "Land of the Leopard" in the Khasansky District and "Komarov's House" in the Ussuri Nature Reserve named after Komarov. The possibilities of organizing themed tours were also presented, including for bird lovers and those wishing to capture spotted or striped cats.

Cooperation between the Land of the Leopard National Park and tour operators is strengthening. Freelance guides can work on the Leopard Trail route. But to do this, they must undergo mandatory certification and have a corresponding entry in the register, as well as pass an internal exam on the territory of the national park. And this will allow tour companies and guides to independently discover the amazing nature of southwestern Primorye for tourists. To date, cooperation has been established with almost 15 guides.

May 3 is coming up – the Leopard Day festival. This year, the holiday is going international. Guests from the Chinese province of Jilin will participate in the event.
