Tourist routes for people with disabilities appeared in Vladivostok

The organization of such routes took place within the framework of the VEB.RF project "Hospitable City for All". This is a massive event that took place in many cities of Russia. Its participants chose several routes and studied them for accessibility, posting their comments to the Yandex.Maps service.

1. The territory of the Far Eastern Federal University,

2. Embankment of Tsesarevich, 

3. The central square-embankment of Tsesarevich with a visit to the Grand Hotel on the Ship's Embankment.

The participants of the walk were residents of Vladivostok with disabilities. Among them are disabled citizens, as well as visually impaired and hard of hearing, who, during the study of the route, transmitted their comments to volunteers filling out forms in the map application. It is worth noting that the work on the organization of comfortable routes for this category of citizens in Vladivostok was carried out for the first time. All three tours were organized in different formats. A great contribution to the ongoing work was made by Far Eastern Federal University, which introduced groups of tourists to the spaces of the university.

According to the general impression of paratourists, in general, all the selected routes are comfortable and accessible for use by people with limited mobility.

Thanks to participation in the formation of routes of citizens with disabilities, we found out which walking routes are comfortable for them and what they have comments and suggestions. I note that following the results of these three excursions, the city administration planned to discuss in the future with the Tourist Information Center of the Primorsky Territory the opportunity to organize free excursions for residents and guests of our city with health restrictions, said Deputy Head of the Vladivostok Administration Ekaterina Sivolovskaya.

She also added that the work on the organization of new routes for people with disabilities is planned to continue.
