Tourist police were given special armbands

The Ministry of Tourism of Primorsky Krai at the end of the tourist season handed over new special armbands to the tourist police.

Specialized platool of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in Vladivostok - the fifth season successfully working in the city. Representatives of the tourist police have a distinctive feature of the uniform: employees wear a special armband, on which, in addition to the flag of the Russian Federation, there is an inscription "tourist police" in two languages - English and Russian. Updated armbands on the eve of the tourist season 2025 for a specialized platoon as part of a fruitful and successful cooperation this season and not only prepared the Tourist Information Center of the Primorsky Territory (Visit Primorye) together with The Ministry of Tourism of the Primorsky Territory. The tourist season in 2024 was active, by the end of the year was almost 4 million tourists were accepted, and the flow of Chinese guests exceeded pre-pandemic figures.

A distinctive feature of employees is also the knowledge of a foreign language for easy communication with tourists from other countries. Representatives of the tourist police can explain how to get to the airport, find your hotel and orient on other issues. The experience of communicating with tourists among the staff of the specialized platoon is rich: they dealt with guests who were in a difficult situation, helped guests navigate the city, looked for forgotten things with them and resolved conflict situations. At the same time, the main direction of work of the tourist police invariably remains the protection of public order on the territory of Vladivostok - the detection of crimes and the suppression of administrative offenses.

The Tourist Information Center of Primorsky Krai (Visit Primorye) has been cooperating with a specialized platoon since the founding of the tourist police. Training courses on topical topics of the tourism industry and current work tasks are held on an ongoing basis for the staff of the tourist police. So, they learned the basics of interaction with tourists, local history and a foreign language. In particular, the staff studied the psychology of communication, behavioral characteristics of tourists, current opportunities and prospects for the development of inclusive tourism in the capital of the Far Eastern Federal District.

On Specialized Tourist Police Platoon: The idea of creating a specialized police platoon was initiated in 2020. In the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the city of Vladivostok, recruitment for service in a specialized unit was announced, whose duties include providing a comfortable and safe environment for guests of our region, including foreign tourists. The visual difference of the staff of a specialized platoon is an armband with an inscription. In addition to ensuring safety and comfort, the main tasks of the tourist police are patrolling the routes of the central part of the city, advising tourists, prompt response to illegal actions against city guests.
