Tourist and Information Center of Primorsky Krai (Visit Primorye) took part in the All-Russian Congress of Tourist Information Centers, which was held in Nizhny Novgorod from September 19 to 22. 145 organizations from 50 regions of Russia gathered at one venue.
The theme of the Congress this year: the formation and promotion of the socio-cultural space of cities. Topical issues of tourism development in the regions of our country, exchange of experience, already implemented practices and interesting projects are on the agenda. Each of the participants willingly shared their “chips”, ideas, suggestions. All participants of the event actively discussed the topics stated in the program, including the formation and promotion of the socio-cultural space of cities; the role of children and youth tourism as a tool to increase the prestige of domestic tourism; experience and prospects for using the status of unofficial tourist "capitals" as an impetus in the development of tourism in cities; tools for promoting tourist communities in social networks, etc. The plenary session discussed the role of municipalities in the development of the urban environment and the use of the status of “capital” for the development of regions. Also at the discussion platforms, the participants of the Congress raised issues of legal regulation and standardization of the TIC. During the expert sessions, specific measures were proposed to amend the legislation, update GOST tourist information centers, analyze possible prospects for separating the functionality of TIC and Tourism Development Agencies. The work will continue in this part within the framework of the cooperation agreement signed with Roskachest.
Primorsky Krai last year received 3.8 million guests, this year since the beginning of the year almost 3.6 million trips have been made along the edge. The region is “growing” with new infrastructure, Primorye is growing in popularity not only among the Far East, but also among tourists from the western regions of Russia who go for exotic and impressions of the Pacific Ocean. At a meeting with colleagues, Primorsky Krai shared its experience and experience in promoting and popularizing tourism. They told about the “School of Young Tour Guides” and the volunteer project, about the participation of events from various entertainment festivals to MICE events from the district to the regional scale, about the possibilities of children’s and youth tourism, shared, albeit a small, but experience in developing an inclusive tourism map. We agreed on closer cooperation with some regions – there are very interesting projects that can be developed in parallel, for example, from the Baltic to the Pacific, thereby increasing the attractiveness and recognition of our region in the west of Russia, explained the deputy head of the tourist and information department, Anastasia Povetkina.
There were interesting discussions on the participation of Russian regional and municipal TI centers in the development of the city, but they only helped to change the attitude of the city’s residents in the development of the city, but also showed how successful projects in the development of the city. There was an exchange of experience on the implementation of digital solutions and the creation of new formats of interaction with tourists, especially in the context of event tourism, which, along with ongoing projects. Traveling club russiatravel.club" and "Museum brodilka" contribute to increasing the tourist attractiveness of the regions in the low season. Digital technologies and the role of centers in managing the image of the regions were also discussed.
At the suggestion of Tatyana Evseyeva, Director of the RUTUBE Content Placement and Promotion Department, a separate special project was discussed to promote video content generated with the participation of TIC.
According to the results of the Congress, a resolution was adopted that includes recommendations for the development of tourist infrastructure, promotion of domestic tourism and improvement of TIC work standards. In particular, it was proposed to update the definition of TIC and GOST TIC, expand interaction with partners from the Republic of Belarus, synchronize programs for children and youth tourism with the projects of the Agency for Strategic Initiatives and Rosmolodezh, continue the participation of TIC in global tourism projects in accordance with uniform standards. The decisions taken will strengthen the positions of the regions in the domestic and international tourism market.
