On August 18, the Book Picnic Festival (12+) was held in Vladivostok. This festival is dedicated to culture, reading and books. At the event, the publishing house Luteratura (0+) presented its new book-guidebook on the Primorsky Territory for children “This is Primorye, baby!” (0+). It was written by Diana Luther and Yulia Musienko.

This is not the first work of the authors. The first book of the series “This is Vladivostok, baby!” (0+) was dedicated to the city of Vladivostok and for 4 years occupies top sales positions in book and souvenir shops of the city. In 2021, the book was awarded the Best Tourist Souvenir Award, and the total circulation exceeded 5,000 copies.

It was decided to tell about the Primorsky Territory. The hardest part was choosing what to say. First, we got a real encyclopedia about the animal and plant worlds of the region. But this format seemed too classical, and then we decided to tell about the sights of the region as if we had never been there and see them for the first time. We think that we succeeded! – shared the authors of the book Diana Luther and Yulia Musienko.

The new book about Primorsky Krai “This is Primorye, baby!” includes 15 unique places of our region that can awaken the spirit of adventurers both in children and adults. Readers will “visit” the sea capes and dense forests, “go” to the south and the most extreme north, and also learn the secrets of the indigenous people of the Primorsky Territory. The book gives detailed coordinates of all attractions and compiled the route of the “round-the-world journey” along the Primorsky Territory. One of these places was the island of the Grieving Heart, located in the Hasan district.

The authors of the book shared a description from the book of this unusual place: "A real adventurer is either already in love, or always ready to fall in love. You can feel yourself in love with all living things, connecting with nature in all the rhythm, on the unusual island of the Grieving Heart. Inside this island there is a small natural pool at the bottom of which is a heart-like stone. When a storm begins at sea, high waves set the stone in motion, and the rhythmic sound of its blows disperses throughout the island, making it impossible to determine whether it is the sound of a stone or your own heart. The authors are sure that this book will be a truly fascinating trip to the Primorsky Krai.
