Participants of the International Youth Games were introduced to Vladivostok

Sports competitions of the International Youth Games "Youth of Primorye" are held from 21 to 26 July. A total of 383 sets of medals are planned for the competition. Participants of the First International Youth Student Summer Games “Youth of Primorye” are offered to try their hand in 12 sports areas: badminton, basketball, boxing, beach volleyball, athletics, tennis, table tennis, swimming, rowing-indore, fijital-basketball, mini-football and chess. More than 500 athletes, 150 judges and more than 250 volunteers took part in the large-scale sports forum.

The international youth games are attended by teams from six countries: Russia, China, North Korea, the Republic of Belarus, India and Uzbekistan. In addition to competitions, an excursion program is also prepared for athletes.

"Organization of excursions at international sports games is an opportunity to present our guests the opportunities of recreation in our region. We try to fit into the busy schedule of athletes and have time to show them Vladivostok and its bright objects in the sightseeing tour. Our task is to reveal the tourist potential and form the desire of the athletes of the games to return to us again, said Anastasia Povetkina, deputy head of the tourist and information department of the Tourist Information Center of the Primorsky Territory. A separate block of excursions was a visit to the multimedia historical park "Russia - My History". Also for panoramic reviews and memorable photos, the tourists visited the viewing platform near the Primorsky Stage of the Mariinsky Theatre. The excursion program was supplemented by a visit to the Primorsky Oceanarium.

This year, for the first time, the First Youth Sports Games “Youth of Primorye” were held here, in which more than a thousand young athletes, including international guests, took part. Our task was to show them Vladivostok, to acquaint them with the beauty of the city and its unique landscapes. About 400 people took part in the excursions. All the guys were satisfied, especially they enjoyed visiting the Primorsky Oceanarium. We believe that combining sports competitions and familiarizing participants with the cultural potential of the venue is a good opportunity from different sides to reveal the capabilities of the Primorsky Territory as a tourist destination, said Anna Filimonova, head of excursion services, about the organization of routes

We were shown not only the center of Vladivostok, but also told about how the city was formed, showed its interesting monuments and drove to bright places. There are very beautiful panoramic views in your city. I liked that we had time to go to the local museum and watch an interactive exhibition, – shared the emotions of the participants of the excursions from China.

Excursions for guests were held from July 19 to 24 in three languages: Chinese, Korean and Russian. Guests from other regions of Russia were representatives of the Far East: the Khabarovsk Territory, the Jewish Autonomous Region, the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) and the Sakhalin Region. In total, about 400 people took part in the excursions.
