Learning the history of Vladivostok and Primorye is great!

In Vladivostok, the city holiday “Day of Knowledge” (0+) will be filled with interesting events. Cultural and entertainment program for guests and residents of the city promises to be rich and diverse. Any resident and guest of the city, regardless of age, can become a participant in walking tours and quizzes. These activities with a historical and educational bias are organized by the Tourist Information Center of the Primorsky Territory (Visit Primorye) with the support of Regional Ministry of Tourism. 

Four excursions will be held for seaside guests and residents. All walks start from the central square of the Far Eastern capital from the "House of Travels", installed on the left side of the main stage.

Ship Embankment - Beginning of All Beginnings (16+) 

The beginning of the excursion: 13:30. Tour guide: Marina Timchuk.

The tour is dedicated to the history of Vladivostok, the formation of the city, strengthening the outpost of the country - from the first days of an unknown post to the modern port city. The tour participants will walk along the main embankment and learn the history of monuments, the fate of some heroes, get acquainted with important events that left a mark on the life of Vladivostok and put bright traditions in its fate. History of the railway station, OR ALL HOWE START (16+) 

The beginning of the excursion: 13:30. Tour guide: Olga Kuzmenko.

Participants of this tour will learn the history of the creation of the first railway station in Vladivostok and the main square, where all the main events of the city took place. Visitors will be told how the face of the city and the objects surrounding the Station Square have changed. The route will affect the memorable Stella on the platform and the legendary locomotive, which came to us on Lend-Lease. Reference to registration here.  

Bell ringing (16+) 

Beginning of the tour: 14:30. Tour guide: Lyudmila Volkova.

Excursors will be told about the traditions of bell ringing in the world and in Christianity. It will be interesting to learn about the differences between the new belfry of the main temple of Primorye and other “colleagues in the shop”, who and how controls this bell system. Another fascinating moment in the tour is the details about the Museum of Orthodoxy of the Primorsky Metropolis at the Temple, which will be opened in the near future. And the participants will admire the old lighthouse bell and learn, in connection with which he was and remained forever on the first street of the city. Registration link >here. 

KULYSKY (16+) 

The tour starts at 14:30. Tour guide: Tatiana Nikitchenko. 

The route with elements of acting training will pass through the theater places of the city. This is a fun, one and a half hour adventure quest with an invisible theatrical house Kuliska, creative tasks and surprises. Participants will look into the history and behind the scenes of theatrical life, test their acting abilities and receive awards for best roles, creative imagination and imagination. The entertainment program of the Festival "Knowledge Day" will continue with an educational quiz at the information desk of the Tourist Information Center of the Primorsky Territory (Visit Primorye) in the "Travel House". Start interactive with a quiz at 14:00 and 15:00. The most active, inquisitive and creative participants will receive memorable prizes. 

Also on August 31, from 13:00 to 18:00, the information desk of the Tourist Information Center of the Primorsky Territory (Visit Primorye) will work, where regional companies-operators will tell about vacations in Primorye, offer interesting routes, introduce them to programs for the autumn and help book your favorite excursions and tours.
