Learning the history of Vladivostok and Primorye is great!

In Vladivostok, the city holiday "Knowledge Day" (0+) will be filled with interesting events. The cultural and entertainment program for guests and residents of the city promises to be rich and diverse. Any resident and guest of the city, regardless of age, will be able to take part in walking tours and quizzes. These activities with a historical and educational focus are organized by the Tourist Information Center of Primorsky Krai (Visit Primorye) with the support of the regional Ministry of Tourism.
Four excursions will be held for Primorsky guests and residents. All walks start from the central square of the Far Eastern capital from the "House of Travel", installed on the left side of the main stage.
KORABELNAYA EMBANKMENT - THE BEGINNING OF ALL BEGINNINGS (16+)
Start of the excursion: 13:30. Tour guide: Marina Timchuk.
The excursion is dedicated to the history of Vladivostok, the formation of the city, the strengthening of the country's outpost - from the first days of an unknown post to a modern port city. Participants of the excursion will walk along the main embankment and learn the history of monuments, the fate of some heroes, get acquainted with important events that left a mark on the life of Vladivostok and set bright traditions in its fate. THE HISTORY OF THE RAILWAY STATION, OR HOW IT ALL BEGAN (16+)
Start of the excursion: 13:30. Guide: Olga Kuzmenko.
Participants of this excursion will learn the history of the creation of the first railway station of the city of Vladivostok and the main square, where all the main events of the city took place. The excursionists will be told how the face of the city and the objects surrounding the Station Square changed. The route will touch upon the memorial Stella on the platform and the legendary steam locomotive that came to us under the Lend-Lease program. Registration link here.
BELL RINGING (16+)
Tour starts at 14:30. Tour guide: Lyudmila Volkova.
Tour participants will be told about the traditions of bell ringing in the world and in Christianity. It will be interesting to learn about the differences between the new bell tower of the main church of Primorye and other "colleagues in the industry", who and how controls this bell system. Another fascinating moment in the tour is details about the Museum of Orthodoxy of the Primorsky Metropolitanate at the Church, which will open in the near future. Participants will also admire the ancient lighthouse bell and learn why it ended up and remained forever on the first street of the city. Registration link here.
VLADIVOSTOK HOUSEHOLD MAN KULISKA (16+)

The route with elements of acting training will pass through the city's theatrical places. This is a fun, one-and-a-half-hour adventure quest with an invisible theatrical househelp Kuliska, creative tasks and surprises. Participants will look into the history and backstage of theatrical life, test their acting skills and receive awards for the best roles, creative imagination and fantasy. Registration link here.

The entertainment program of the Festival "Day of Knowledge" will continue with an educational quiz at the information desk of the Tourist Information Center of Primorsky Krai (Visit Primorye) in the "House of Travel". The interactive quiz will start at 14:00 and 15:00. The most active, inquisitive and creative participants will receive memorable prizes.
Also on August 31 from 13:00 to 18:00, the information desk of the Tourist Information Center of Primorsky Krai (Visit Primorye) will be open, where regional operator companies will tell you about holidays in Primorye, offer interesting routes, introduce programs for autumn and help book excursions and tours you like.
