Vladivostok was the first point of his return home, it was this city that met him, it was from here that Alexander Isaevich traveled through Russia by rail, trying to understand what happened, what kind of country is now, what people live in. The exhibition contains a large number of authentic materials, but it also has a complex artistic solution, she stressed.
In the four enfilade halls of the Main Building of the Arsenyev Museum, a panorama of events geographically covering the globe is unfolded. They are connected with the forced expulsion of A.I. Solzhenitsyn from the USSR, life abroad and the long-awaited return of the writer to his homeland. Here, in Magadan and Vladivostok, on May 27, 1994, he first entered his native land, from here began his movement deep into Russia, his way home. The exhibition presents manuscripts, documents, photographs, books and memorial items of the writer from the funds of the State Museum of the History of Russian Literature named after V.I. Dal, the House of Russian Abroad named after A. Solzhenitsyn, the archive of A.I. Solzhenitsyn, as well as reproductions of documents and photo documents from a number of federal archives. The exhibition is not the first experience of constructive interaction between museum institutions. For example, a great interest of Primorsky residents was caused by an exhibition dedicated to the almanacs of the Silver Age, which was presented in the Main Building of our V.I. Dahl GMIRL Museum in 2022 We are bound by long-standing partnership relations with the A. Solzhenitsyn House of Russian Abroad. A memorable example is the organization of the first city festival “Russian Abroad: Cities and Faces”, held in Vladivostok in 2021.
Every year, representatives of the fund initiate events at the facilities of the Vladivostok Fortress, telling about its builders who have fulfilled their civic duty to Russia, but are forced to leave the country. The organizers are sure that a new project about the fate of the writer, a person who in a difficult period for the homeland shared the hardships with his people tried to help people, bring their sorrows to the authorities, will also arouse the interest of residents and guests of Primorye.
