In the national park "Bikin" are preparing for the spring festival "Va:kchai Ni" (Hunter's Day). It is dedicated to the end of the hunting season among the indigenous minorities of the Primorsky Territory and the formation of a national park. Date: March 7-9. Place: Krasny Yar village of Pozharsky district.

The festival will host the II stage of the Primorsky Krai Chess Cup "Red Yar-2024", dedicated to the memory of Vasily Bataneevich Sulyandzig. Guests of the festival are waiting for competitions in national sports of indigenous minorities: team skiing, archery, shooting from an air rifle, throwing a spear, tug of war, weightlifting, stilts, throwing an axe at a distance. Such an exotic sport as axe throwing appeared in the competition program three years ago, but has already gained popularity among athletes. The results are also pleasing: in 2021, the axe of the participants did not fly beyond the mark of 70 meters, in 2023, a projectile flight of 92 meters was recorded. Traditionally, the festival will open a shamanic ceremony, the choir of Bikin mothers and the children's dance ensemble "Keshihi" will perform before the audience. Craftsmen of folk crafts will present souvenirs on the “Masters Street”.

All arrivals to Wa: Kchaini will warm up the general dinner “Ule Silani” (hunter’s soup), for which, according to tradition, hunters will go to get the day before. Participants will be able to taste other local delicacies at the national cuisine fair. The organizers of the festival are the Club of Hunters and Fishermen of Indigenous Minorities of Primorye, the Bikin National Park, the Amur Tiger Center. "Va:kchini" has been held since 2017 and gathers up to 500 guests each season.
