Vladivostok is preparing for “People’s Fishing-2024”

In Vladivostok, Defender of the Fatherland Day on February 23 will be celebrated with the annual regional festival for sports ice fishing "People's Fishing". 

The program will be rich: fishing itself, awarding fast, agile and successful fishermen, cultural, sports and entertainment program, food court work and every guest is in a great mood. 

Due to the sharp warming and the beginning of ice melting, the area for the competition will be the Yacht Club in Novik Bay on Russky Island. For those who wish, a transfer from the Olympic sports complex to the fishing place and back will be organized. It is planned that about 500 people will participate in the fishing. The prizes – a boat with a motor and a huge TV – will go to the owner of the largest catch and the fastest drill. Folk fishing is accompanied by folk festivals. They will be held on the Embankment of Sports Harbor. And even if you are not a fisherman, you will not be bored - entertainment for any age. On a giant grill at noon, 13 chefs will begin to mass "fry." They will cook almost 300 kilograms of smelt: everyone’s favorite winter fish. One portion is no more than 50 rubles. The recipe is the simplest, it is familiar to all the mistresses of Vladivostok, but fresh catch, sea air, excitement of fishermen and cooks will enhance the feeling of the holiday. Three gastronomic master classes will be held here, 10 families will take part in each of them. Under the strict guidance of ambassadors of the Far Eastern cuisine, they will prepare the dishes declared in the program. Nominations a lot – without attention, applause and prizes no one will leave. 

Adrenaline and enthusiasm will add fun competitions. At the start of the relays will come not only children, but also parents. Athletic families get credit! And since the calendar is February 23, without the army theme can not do. On the festive platform will be held the patriotic relay “School of the young fighter”. All winners will receive gifts. Creative teams performing on the main stage will create a festive mood throughout the day.
