Vladivostok and Hunchun will be friends with schools

A children's delegation from the border Chinese Hunchun (Jilin province) arrived in Vladivostok.

The trip is short, but very rich - excursions around Vladivostok, acquaintance with peers and immersion in the creative process. In 2024 and 2025, Russia and China celebrate the years of joint culture. This means that various events will be held at this time aimed at strengthening cultural cooperation between the two countries. And the exchange of children's groups fits into these plans as well as possible. 

In the children's group from Hunchun, 40 children aged 13 to 15 years. And they all learn to play the wooden flute Xiao. 

The guys will be with us for only 4 days, from 24 to 27 February. We met them right at the border. And all the time the Chinese delegation will be accompanied by our certified guide with knowledge of the Chinese language. On the first day, the children will go on an excursion “Evening Vladivostok”. The second day is dedicated to meeting with peers. On the third day, visits to FEFU are planned, where young guests will be shown the university and introduced to the educational process, and the aquarium, explained Inna Mukhina, director of the Vostok Intour host company.

Meeting with peers will be very rich in terms of acquaintances, events, emotions and impressions. This “dialogue” was co-organized by the Department for Work with Municipal Educational Institutions. Guests from Hunchun will go to Vladivostok School No. 63 with in-depth knowledge of the Chinese language.In addition to live dialogue, the children will have a cultural and sports program. Both sides have prepared musical numbers, master classes on painting dolls and a small sports tournament on mini-football will be held.

Children's groups are a separate category of tourists. And more attention to them than adults. The organization of excursions, entertainment activities should be more balanced. Primorye has accumulated experience in working with children’s groups – various festivals, competitions, patriotic programs, industrial tourism, etc. Russia and China are rich in cultural heritage, countries are ready to share this with each other, and children can be real people’s diplomats in such programs. Everything is interesting to them. And we need to take this into account, and use it, said Vitaly Stanislavchuk, head of the program and analytics department of the tourist information center of the Primorsky Territory (Visit Primorye).

The guys came to Vladivostok without visas as part of a group within the framework of the Intergovernmental Agreement between the Russian Federation and the PRC. The current training tour organized for Chinese children by the seaside tour operator is the first, but not the last. Visits of children from other educational institutions of Jilin province are planned.
